Ni\u00f1os, maestros y colaboradores se re\u00fanen para compartir los alimentos en un ambiente tranquilo y respetuoso. Las comidas incluyen frecuentemente prote\u00ednas vegetales como nueces, semillas, brotes, frijoles y legumbres, junto con una amplia variedad de frutas y vegetales coloridos.<br><br>\nAunque cada familia puede tener diferentes h\u00e1bitos alimenticios en casa, elegimos un men\u00fa centrado en plantas porque refleja los valores de nuestra escuela y fomenta una relaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s consciente con la salud y la sostenibilidad.<br><br>\nA trav\u00e9s de la jardiner\u00eda, el aprendizaje al aire libre y las comidas compartidas, buscamos cultivar una apreciaci\u00f3n profunda por la naturaleza y desarrollar las habilidades necesarias para cuidarla. Los restos de comida de nuestras cocinas se separan y compostan en el campus, donde se transforman en suelo rico en nutrientes que luego se utiliza para nutrir los jardines y las plantas de toda la escuela.<\/p><p>Los estudiantes participan activamente en este proceso ayudando a llevar los residuos org\u00e1nicos desde las cocinas hasta el jard\u00edn, donde se combinan con hojas y otros materiales naturales y se transforman lentamente mediante la descomposici\u00f3n. M\u00e1s adelante, durante las clases de jardiner\u00eda, utilizan ese mismo compost para nutrir los bancales y las plantas que cuidan a lo largo del a\u00f1o, experimentando de primera mano el ciclo completo de regeneraci\u00f3n.<\/p><p>Bajo el cuidado de nuestro equipo de jardiner\u00eda, los estudiantes observan c\u00f3mo aquello que alguna vez parec\u00eda no tener utilidad regresa a la tierra convertido en nutrici\u00f3n y nuevo crecimiento.
